LOS ANGELES, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Fandango, the nation's largest online, phone and mobile movie ticketing service, today announced its ticketing functionality is now available directly through leading IAC Search & Media Web properties, including Ask.com, Excite (excite.com), iWon (iwon.com) and My Way (myway.com).

The new relationship, launched in partnership with Tribune Media Services (TMS), which provides movie listings, reviews, ratings and other movie-related content, enables IAC Search & Media's millions of unique monthly visitors to buy movie tickets for any of the 13,600 screens in the Fandango network. The new partners complement each other: IAC Search & Media is known for helping consumers find what they are looking for on the Web quickly and easily, while Fandango is synonymous with providing moviegoers with a fast and easy service to make the movie going experience as convenient as possible. Users of the popular IAC Search & Media Web sites will be able to rely on highly accurate and comprehensive local movie show times provided by TMS and click directly to Fandango's site to purchase tickets to Hollywood's most anticipated movies.

"We're thrilled to be working with the world-class family of IAC Search & Media portals and search engines, including Ask.com," says Chuck Davis, Chairman of Fandango. "Nearly thirty-four million users* depend on these four specific sites each month for quick access to the information they need on the Web. The new Fandango-IAC relationship puts users one click closer to the widest selection of theaters showing this summer's hottest movies, including SUPERMAN RETURNS and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST."

As of June 23, 2006 at 5:00 p.m, PST, Fandango was reporting that SUPERMAN (opening June 28) represents 25% of all weekly ticket sales while PIRATES (opening July 7) represents 6% of all weekly ticket sales. Also, SUPERMAN RETURNS is selling 5 times as many advance tickets as BATMAN BEGINS sold last summer (five days before its release date).
