Last week I was in New York City for AJAXWorld. I filled in for our CEO Hooman Radfar at a talk he was going to give on 'The Social Aggregator - Widgets Reshape the Social Web.' It went really well. We had the room filled with about 40 people. There was a lot of great discussion about how the Web is getting broken into pieces via widgets and about the current state of consumer-facing and enterprise tools that are bringing the pieces of the Web back together.
Unfortunately, I was only at AJAXWorld for the last day of the conference on Thursday. I had a fantastic time meeting people within the AJAX community and listening to some of the sessions. I would have loved to do more.
October's AJAXWorld Conference is already receiving higher-caliber submissions from all over the Rich Internet Applications, User eXperience & UI ecosphere.
The theme of this October's AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2008 West is 'Beyond AJAX to the RIA Era' and the Call for Papers, which is now open, specifically encourages submissions from exceptional speakers with high-quality use cases of the fast-emerging RIA alternatives.
Submissions featuring such use cases as well as on dozens of other RIA topics have already begun streaming in to AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2008 West, being held in San Jose, CA, on October 20-22, 2008.
